Students and Parents,
We hope this letter finds you and your families healthy and safe. As we quickly approach the final days of the school year, we wanted to take this opportunity to thank our students and parents for all their hard work and effort in completing their remote learning assignments. For many of us, remote learning and being separated from the school and all of the social interaction has been challenging. But again, we applaud you for your perseverance and flexibility.
As you are aware, Hopedale Jr.-Sr. High School assigns mandatory Summer Reading. However, in light of the school closing and the challenges of remote learning, we have decided to offer
optional Summer Enrichment Opportunities for students. Although this is not mandatory, we are encouraging all students to select at least two categories on the Summer Activities Choice Board and complete the Summer Enrichment Journal for credit towards any assessment in the first quarter of the 2020-2021 school year. We hope that these activities will help students maintain academic curiosity and engagement. In order to receive credit, students should be prepared to share and discuss their journals during their Blue Raider Block advisory group in the fall. We look forward to next year and wish you a happy and healthy summer.
